What the video covers

Guardian’s end-to-end background investigation solution gives law enforcement agencies, fire departments, and other public safety agencies an easy, efficient way to pre-screen, investigate, and approve their applicants. The overview follows that process the way an agency sees it. You add an applicant by entering an email address; the applicant creates a Guardian account, completes a Personal History Questionnaire (PHQ) online, and uploads the documents and custom forms your agency asks for. Those certified answers then move through the Guardian work centers: the Triage Center, where an automatically generated Concerns Report flags areas of potential concern before an investigation is opened; the Investigation Center, where reference answers, record checks and documents are collected in one secure digital folder; and the Approvals Center, where an auto-generated final report travels up your chain of command for sign-off.

Guardian was founded by law enforcement: Justin Biedinger, Guardian’s president and founder, served ten years on patrol and three years as a background investigator, and the tools were built to mimic existing background processes while giving investigators a more efficient way to do their job.
